Modern Custom Pool & Raised Spa in Costa Mesa, CA

Project Specs

The Challenge

A compact lot with existing structures on two sides: we sized the pool, raised spa, and equipment pad to the setback lines and easements so the yard kept usable open space. Access was tight enough that excavation was sequenced in passes rather than a single dig day.

The Solution

We drafted the pool to the setback lines themselves — a full-size rectangular pool with a raised spa turned to protect the remaining open yard — and set the equipment pad against the rear easement where it disappears from view. The tight access was solved by sequencing excavation in passes, and the modern hardscape deck ties the pool and spa together without a wasted square foot. The compact lot now carries a resort-feel pool without giving up its usable lawn.
