Year-Round Backyard Retreats

Custom Spas & Hot Tubs in Orange County

A custom spa turns your backyard into a year-round retreat in Southern California's climate. We design raised spillover spas that anchor the pool, integrated bench seating with therapy jets, and standalone gunite spas for compact yards — engineered with proper heating, insulation, and controls so it's ready any night of the year.

The Coastline Standard

  • Raised spillover spas & integrated pool-spa combinations
  • Therapy jets, blowers & custom bench depths
  • Standalone gunite spas for compact lots
  • Efficient heating and automation controls

Which Spa Fits Your Yard

  • Raised spillover spa — the classic Orange County pairing; the spa anchors the pool and spills into it
  • Integrated bench spa — built into the pool's shell line for a seamless look
  • Standalone gunite spa — for compact yards or homes where the pool already exists
  • Remodel add-on — a spa added to an existing pool during renovation

Jets, Benches & Hydrotherapy

Therapy seating is designed, not defaulted: jet count, placement, and bench depth follow how you'll actually use the spa — sports recovery, evening wind-down, or social seating. We size the shell and benches to the people using them, not a catalog spec.

How a Spa Build Runs

Adding a spa to a new pool build costs almost no extra schedule — the spa shell is shot together with the pool and the two finish as one build. A standalone gunite spa on its own lot runs about 5–7 weeks from layout to startup. And a spa added during a pool remodel fits inside the remodel's window, because the plumbing tie-ins are already open.

Heating, Insulation & Controls

A spa is only as good as its heat. We plumb dedicated spa circuits with properly sized heaters, insulated shells and covers, and automation controls so your spa is at temperature when you want it — without the energy bill running year-round at pool temperature.

Spa Cost & Timing

A raised spillover spa built with a new pool typically adds $15,000–$35,000 to the project, depending on size, seating, jet count, finishes and how it's heated. Because it's shot with the pool shell, it adds almost no time to the build.

A standalone gunite spa runs about five to seven weeks from layout to startup. A spa added during a pool remodel fits inside the remodel's schedule, since the plumbing is already open.

Custom Spas FAQs

A raised spillover spa gives you the sound and look of water spilling into the pool and keeps the swim area full-width. A level, integrated spa is cleaner and works better on compact lots. We'll show both on your actual yard in the 3D design.
