Rectangular Custom Pool & Spillover Spa in Huntington Beach, CA

Project Specs

The Challenge

Beach-adjacent soil and a high water table shaped this build: we planned dewatering during excavation and specified corrosion-resistant equipment for the salt air. Side-yard access required compact equipment sequencing, and the fire pit gas line was roughed in during the deck pour so the hardscape never had to be cut.

The Solution

Coastline designed this as one package build: a rectangular gunite pool with a raised spillover spa that keeps the swim zone full-width, a sheer-descent waterfall along the raised wall, and a gas fire pit with a stone seat wall for the evening hours. Excavation ran on a dewatering plan sized to the water table, corrosion-resistant equipment was specified for the salt air, and the tight side-yard access was solved with sequenced deliveries and compact equipment. The finished backyard works as one system — pool, spa, fire feature, and LED lighting controlled from a single panel.
